Welcome to THE 2012 STUDENT AEROSPACE FORUm

It is with great pleasure that we announce the launching of the Student Aerospace Forum (SAF) for the 2012 calendar year.

The SAF, initiated by CRIAQ (Consortium de Recherche et d’Innovation en Aérospatiale au Québec) has the goal of promoting the interest and involvement of ingenious students with the intriguing domain of aerospace. This year’s forum will be held on March 1st and 2nd, on the McGill University Campus. The event is open to 300 university students, all across Québec, free of charge. The forum will give said students the opportunity to interact with representatives from various aerospace related companies. The engaging event will feature several guest speaker presentations, company poster displays, as well as an aerospace design challenge.

This year’s SAF theme illustrates the field’s everlasting pursuit for increased power and performance: “Make it greener. Do it faster. Build it stronger.”  The forum acts as the perfect medium for the discussion of tomorrow’s technologies for today’s aerospace demands, between the experts in the field and the next generation of aspiring engineers.
